Description

In current times, it is not uncommon to hear renowned architects calling for restoration of already existing spaces, as opposed to creating new ones. It is a sublimely honourable notion that it is one’s duty as an architect to rescue a site’s memory by bringing it back to life by infusing modernistic vigour into the design. It is a delight and a challenge to create something new while still respecting the existing charm and character of the space. In this project, we were asked to refurbish and renovate an old apartment building next to the famous Hyde Park.

We were lucky to work with a client who valued our approach to the design and was not shy to experiment with contemporary solutions. The essence of the project was to create a modern-day narrative to the housing facility and turn into dynamic and functional living spaces. The apartments were rejuvenated using the Scandinavian design style to achieve a chic and minimalistic finish. Though the theme followed for interiors is same for all the apartments, but each Apartment is unique in itself because of its unique shape and size.
